This is a drawing i made in my English class. It is about the prologue of Romeo & Juliet.

In the story there was a guy named Osvaldo, who was involved in the crime. He was only 14 years old. He said that Bobo King made him help with the crime or else he will beat him and his family up. Steve is crying about his sentence and the time he would be in jail with all those guys.

Sad news, students lost and lose

43 students disappeared, families in tears

Dead and burned, that’s what I’ve heard

No bodies, not in, not out the lobbies

Wrong bus, with white dust

The Crime was slime

Cartels not worth a dime

I have read more of this book, and I’m on the part where they are interviewing José (employee) and this other guy involved in the crime. They’re discussing the crime, and José says that he left the drugstore to take a break. On his way back, a friend of his offers him 2 cartons of smokes. He asked his friend where he got the cigarettes, and the friend told José that he got them from a guy that was involved in an assault at the drug store. He bought the cartons for 5 dollars each and he went back to the store. When he got there, his boss was on the ground in a big puddle of blood. He immediately called 911.

1^st chapter: The main character, Lisa, talks about her childhood, and she talks about how it was to be poor like her.

2^nd chapter: Lisa talks about how her father killed a squirrel and made it into a poppet and woke her and her sister up from bed. He had the squirrel in a box and he told them it was a magical squirrel.

3^rd chapter: Lisa and her sister used to go to their grandparents house and they used to go to all the trash cans in the neighborhood looking for treasures hidden in them, hoping they would find a big stack of money.

Today I read more of the book Monster, and I’m reading the part of the story where Steve is in the court. The prosecuting attorney is telling the jury how the murder happened and who is accused of the murder. She points her finger to Steve and identifies him as guilty.

I’m reading a new book named Monster by Walter Dean Myers. I barely started reading it yesterday but it’s pretty interesting.  It’s about a 16 year old boy named Steve Harmon that goes to prison because they accused him of murder and he talks about the experience he had in there and how he deals with other prisoners. This book is different from the others because some parts are written like a diary and some like a movie script.

The story I’m reading about is about a queen that went for a walk at the woods in her kingdom.  She finds a black unicorn, but the unicorn is scared of her. She calls him and the unicorn slowly gets closer. She pets him three times and the unicorn tapped her gently with his horn. A man appears quickly on a horse. He wanted to kidnap the queen. The queen gets on the unicorn and they fly away, but the man is still going after her.  He’s pointing a gun at them, but they escape.
